Firewise USA Community

Working together and taking action to adapt to living with wildfire 

A Firewise USA Community 

Timbers Estates is  working to help residents reduce wildfire risks.   Our priorities for residents include wildfire emergency response, escape route mitigation, defensible space education,  and community wildfire preparedness events.    

Timbers Estates is an active member of the North Turkey Creek Community Wildfire Protection & Implementation Plan (NTC CWPIP).    Timbers Estates is also a nationally recognized Firewise USA site and has completed the criteria required for this designation from the National Fire Protection Association.

Timbers Slash Removal Day
Hold the Date:   July 6, 2022

The Timbers HOA is helping residents create defensible space by providing slash removal of branches, and small trees at no cost.   Evergreen Fire Rescue will chip and haul away your slash.    Homeowners need to put their slash piles along Timbers Drive and follow the Slash Removal Guidelines below.   ​

Evergreen Fire Rescue will be coming by to chip and haul away all slash on Wednesday, July 6, 2022. ​

Slash Removal Guidelines

Following Restrictions Apply: 
  • Accepted materials include slash up to 10" in diameter, free of nails and wire
  • No construction or building materials, treated lumber, fence posts or signs allowed
  • No shrubs, dirt or rocks
  • No tree stumps
  • No bags of pine needles
  • No trash 

Slash Pile Guidelines:  
  • Piles stacked by 8am Wednesday, July 6th
  • Stack piles with butt ends of branches facing the road
  • Maximum slash pile is 5' wide x 5' deep x 5' tall.   Each residence is limited to 5 piles of slash 
  • Place piles no closer than 1' from roadway --and no farther than 5' from roadway
  • Do not combine piles with neighbor's piles 
  • No piles that have been created by machinery 
  • After crews have removed your pile, clear away any remaining branches, needles and debris 

Please note:  If you intend to remove a tree larger than 3" in diameter on your property that is not dead or diseased and is  further than 30' from your home,  please get approval from the Design Review Board.   ​
